Post Numero Uno!

I'm so excited to finally be a blogger! I've been putting off creating one for some time, and I suppose now that I'm a homeowner, I'll have plenty of adventures and stories to share. I'm not sure who will actually take the time to read this, but I think it's a wonderful way for family and friends to know what's going on in the life of the Stocks. For example, my dear friend Abby, who just moved to Louisiana, has a very entertaining blog, and even though I don't talk with her nearly as often as I'd like, I feel like I'm still involved because I know what she's up to. So, hopefully those who are interested in us can feel the same way.

We just purchased our first home, and the first three weeks here have been wonderful so far! But I'll devote a whole entry to the house, and share some photos with you later. Tyler and I also just celebrated our first wedding anniversary last weekend. I cannot believe we've been married for an entire year - it went by so quickly! We celebrated by sharing a delicious meal at The Melting Pot on the Plaza, which included a four-course fondue meal. It was our first time there, and oh my goodness it was good! We came home and cut into the top of our wedding cake (which was hanging out in the freezer for the past year.) It was surprisingly good - not dry at all! However, we were full from the chocolate fondue at dinner, and only ate a few bites. 

It doesn't look nearly as pretty as it did a year ago, but for all you skeptics out there, if you wrap the cake properly, you can enjoy it and share in the fun tradition!
